Description:

The purpose of the Child Health Practitioner Support program is to assist child health practitioner organizations to support their members to provide high quality coordinated, comprehensive care for all children. The organization must identify specific areas of concern of their members, prioritize those areas, and propose targeted responses to meet those areas of concern. Collaboration among child health practitioner organizations in developing these responses is encouraged. Child Health Practitioner organizations would include, among others, groups representing pediatricians, family practitioners, dentists who treat children, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, social workers, public health practitioners focused on childrens issues. For the purposes of this program, organizations either focused on or representing parents or families are considered child health practitioner organizations so long as their efforts are directed toward im!
proving interactions between practitioners and the child/family.
